Course outline: In this course we will look straight into the manufacturing industry, the key industry of Japan, from various aspects such as positioning in domestic industry,  environment issues and problems that manufacturing is facing, various type of production and their characteristics, flow of base operation and functional structure. Our objective is to get an overall understanding on the present status of manufacturing and to acquire a wide range of knowledge for the following courses classified by base operation.
